English

First of all, the land will be cleaned of pollution, an operation that will last about six months. Then, the development work will begin, for a total budget of four million euros. Elected officials stress that this park will offer residents a place to relax, but also a way to cool a very concrete-heavy neighborhood. A residents' association welcomes the project, while asking that rents in the area not be driven up by property speculation. Eventually, the city hopes to create a real meeting place, with markets, outdoor concerts and shared gardens open to everyone.
