English

Despite the delays, the project was completed, and the first trams will run every seven minutes. The trip between the train station and the northern neighborhoods will take twenty minutes, compared to forty-five by bus. The ticket price will be the same as for other public transport, and the first day will be free. During the work, several shopkeepers suffered a drop in revenue, and the city paid them exceptional aid. Officials expect about thirty thousand passengers a day and are already studying an extension of the line to the airport within ten years.
