In the meantime, a temporary lending service will be set up in the neighboring community hall, with a selection of three thousand books. As for students, they will be able to use the work spaces at the cultural center for free. Some readers welcome a project that will make the place more modern and more welcoming. Others, however, fear that the presence of a café will disturb the usual calm of the reading room. The cost of the work is estimated at two million euros, largely financed by the region. The reopening is scheduled for next spring, and an exhibition will trace the history of the library on that occasion.
