Last Sunday, I ran my first ten-kilometre race. In the morning, I was very stressed: there were hundreds of runners at the start and I did not know anyone. During the first three kilometres, everything went well. Then tiredness arrived, but the spectators' encouragement helped me keep going. I crossed the finish line in one hour and five minutes, and I was proud of myself. Here is my advice for beginners. Train three times a week for at least two months and gradually increase the distance. Choose good shoes, because they prevent injuries. Do not forget to sleep enough the night before. Above all, do not compare yourself with others. The most important thing is to finish the race at your own pace and to enjoy it.
