Six months ago, I left my home town for an engineering position more than four hundred kilometres away. The first weeks were difficult. I looked for housing for a month, rents were very expensive, and I did not know anyone. In the evening, I felt lonely and I missed my family. Little by little, the situation improved. I joined a basketball club, I met friendly neighbours and I discovered a city rich in activities. In my opinion, changing city is an excellent opportunity to grow. You gain independence, you find better professional opportunities and you discover another way of life. However, you have to accept the first moments of loneliness. With a little patience, everything becomes easier.
