Last Friday, our building organised a meal in the courtyard. Each family brought a dish: I tasted a salad from Morocco, Italian cakes and a delicious spiced chicken. Someone had put up string lights, and a neighbour from the third floor was playing the guitar. I had lived here for two years and had never spoken to half of these people. Knowing your neighbours seems very important to me. Indeed, it creates a climate of trust: you can ask for a favour, keep someone's keys or watch the building during the holidays. It also reduces conflicts, because it is easier to talk about a noise problem with someone you like. I hope we will do it again soon. Do not hesitate to come next time!
