English

For a month, I took a pastry class on Tuesday evenings. Our chef taught us how to make choux pastry, macarons and a lemon tart. On the first evening, my éclairs stayed as flat as pancakes, and I almost gave up. Yet I understood my mistake: I had opened the oven door too early. The following week, my choux were perfect, and my whole family ate the dessert. I find that cooking for yourself is a real pleasure that is worth the effort. First, you know exactly what you are eating, with less sugar and no industrial products. Then, it is a calm moment when you forget screens. Finally, giving a homemade cake always pleases people. So take out the flour and get started!
