English

Last Saturday, I spent a day as a volunteer at my city's shelter. From eight o'clock, I cleaned the cages, filled the bowls and walked several dogs in the nearby forest. A shy old dog, abandoned a year ago, lay down at my feet and closed his eyes, and I wanted to adopt him. While I was working, other volunteers explained the necessary gestures to me. This day showed me that everyone can help. You can adopt rather than buy an animal, give some food or money, or devote a few hours a month to the shelter. It is also important to neuter your pet and never abandon it during the holidays. If you love animals, go to the shelter: a simple gesture can change a life.
