- Begin with a quick presentation (location, size, language) and then choose two or three things you want to highlight.
- Use the present for facts; use the conditionnel for recommendations (vous devriez visiter..., ce serait un bon choix).
- Avoid simple lists of adjectives; add one precise example such as a festival, a dish or a place.
- Remember the structure of manquer: mon pays me manque (the thing that is missed is the subject).

English
I come from a country by the sea, with a hot climate in summer. The capital is a big lively city, but what I prefer are the small villages in the mountains. The inhabitants are very welcoming and easily invite foreigners to eat at their home. The cuisine is also a great pride: we have many dishes based on vegetables, fish and olive oil. If you visit my country, I advise going in spring, because the weather is pleasant and the landscapes are magnificent. Since I left my country, I miss my family and the food a lot. I am proud of my heritage and I like to share it.
