- Choose one or two celebrations and describe what happens: who comes, what you eat, what you do.
- Use the present for traditions (chez nous, on prépare...) and the passé composé for the last occasion.
- Use on or nous for general customs: chez nous, on se réunit.
- Describe feelings (ça crée une belle ambiance) and say why these moments matter.

English
In my family we love celebrations. The most important one is the year-end holiday: the whole family gets together at my grandparents' house. At our place, we prepare a big meal with traditional dishes and my mother always makes a special cake. The children receive gifts, and the adults talk and sing. For birthdays we are fewer, but we always try to do a little surprise. Last month we organized a meal for my father's sixtieth birthday, and he was very moved. For me, these celebrations are important because they allow us to stay united despite the distance and everyone's busy lives.
