  • If you have no pet, say so and talk about the animal you would like or loved as a child; do not stay silent.
  • Use the present to describe the animal and the passé composé for the adoption story.

English

I have had a cat for three years. I adopted it from a shelter because I wanted to give a chance to an abandoned animal. It is gray, very playful and a little stubborn. I feed it twice a day and take it to the vet once a year. When I come home from work, it waits for me at the door and comes straight onto my lap. That relaxes me a lot after a tiring day. A few months ago it got sick, and I was very worried, but fortunately it is better now. I also like dogs because they are loyal, but I do not have enough time to have one. For me, a pet brings company and joy.
