TipsStructure, register and traps to avoid.View
- Pick one event and tell it clearly: when, where, who, what happened, how you felt.
- Use the passé composé for the main events and the imparfait for the background and emotions.
- Use time connectors: d'abord, soudain, à ce moment-là, finalement.
- End with why it is your best memory and what it taught you.

My best memory is the day of my graduation, four years ago. That day the weather was nice and my whole family had come to my city to see me. I remember I was very nervous in the morning because I had to give a short speech in front of everyone. When I started to speak, my hands trembled a little, but then everything went well. Suddenly my parents stood up and applauded me with tears in their eyes. I was so moved that I could hardly speak. After the ceremony we ate together in a restaurant. This moment showed me that my efforts had value and that my family was proud of me.
