English
I really like giving gifts, because I love seeing people's faces when they discover a surprise. In general, I prefer to choose personal items rather than very expensive things. For example, for my mother's birthday, I made an album with family photos. She was so touched that she cried. For my friends I often give books or a small handmade item. Before buying, I try to think about their tastes, which sometimes takes time. For me what matters is not the price but the thoughtfulness. I also pay attention to the wrapping, because nice paper shows that you took care. Receiving a gift pleases me, but giving one makes me even happier.
