  • Describe the climate by season and give typical temperatures.
  • Mention how the weather affects habits (on reste à l'intérieur, on sort plus).
  • Add a recent weather event in the passé composé and compare with other countries.

English

Where I live, the climate is rather hot and dry. In summer the temperatures often exceed thirty-five degrees and there is almost no rain. Spring and autumn are pleasant: it is mild, and it is the best time to go out. Winter is short and it almost never snows, but it sometimes rains a lot. When it is very hot, we stay inside in the afternoon and go out in the evening when it is cooler. Last summer there was a heat wave for a week, and it was hard to sleep. So I am a bit worried about the Canadian cold because I am not used to it. I will have to buy a very good coat and get used to it gradually.
