In my country we have many traditions, but my favorite is the spring festival. Every year, in March, families gather for a big meal, and everyone wears bright-colored traditional clothing. We prepare typical dishes and give small gifts to children. In the streets there is music and dancing. This tradition has existed for hundreds of years and is passed on from generation to generation. Last year I helped my grandmother prepare the meal, and she explained the meaning of each dish to me. Today some families celebrate the festival in a simpler way, but I think it is important to respect these customs, because they are part of our identity.
